Our World Vision

World Vision is a global community, working together for the one purpose – to bring about positive change in the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.  People are inspired to work for us because they want to contribute to making a difference.  We are part of an international team, using our talent, determination and influence to invest in a better tomorrow.  With us, job satisfaction takes on a greater meaning.

Together, we are:

  • 50,000 dedicated and passionate staff and volunteers
  • 10 million committed supporters who are changing lives
  • 100 million people as a part of World Vision’s supported communities

Are you a change maker?

Who you'll be working with

The Australia Program leverages 40 years of experience working here in Australia and our international programming expertise to support Indigenous Australians to lead their own development. We do this at the national level by engaging with governments, and at a local level by partnering with communities on a range of community development projects focussed around Education and Life Skills.

We have over 40 staff based all around the country in urban and remote communities, including many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.  We also work with the teams across World Vision to share the impact of this work with the Australian public, to raise funds and at times to advocate on the issues that matter to the communities we work with.   Together we create real and lasting change.

Your opportunity to make a difference

With a commitment to implementing long term community development programs, and being responsive to new opportunities to have an impact, we are regularly looking for skilled and passionate staff to join our team as community facilitators, project managers, regional program managers and technical advisors.

Who we're looking for

People who have life skills, experience and interest to work alongside our community partners and World Vision colleagues in any of the following areas:

  • Participatory community planning
  • Mentoring and coaching project participants
  • Partnership brokering and stakeholder engagement
  • Program design, monitoring & evaluation
  • Early childhood care & development
  • Youth leadership & development activities
  • Community governance and leadership
  • Team leadership and management

A willingness to learn as much as you contribute is essential!

What we can offer you

  • The chance to live and work in urban and remote Australia having a cultural education experience of a lifetime.
  • The opportunity to bring your expertise and experience to contribute to a cause that you are passionate about
  • The chance to work in the largest non-government organisation in Australia and one of the largest development organisations in the world
  • Being part of a professional and friendly team united by their commitment to one common goal; to empower Indigenous people and organisations to lead their own development.
  • Work in collaboration with teams and alongside colleagues some of whom are the best technical experts and community development practitioners in their field
  • Competitive salary and flexible salary packaging scheme
