Your opportunity to make a difference:

The Portfolio Manager manages a complex humanitarian portfolio through collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders. The role acquires and manages a range of income streams spanning multiple donors and is expected to ensure the delivery of the most impactful programs to disaster affected communities and connect our donors to our field impact.

This is initially a 12 Month Contract with the scope to explore other opportunities in the organisation after this date.

Who we're looking for, will demonstrate the following:

  • Program and project management experience, including large and complex grant acquisition and management
  • Partnering with government or multilateral agencies, including leading a key relationship
  • In-country experience managing projects in emergency responses
  • Building successful collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A minimum undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline with postgraduate preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of humanitarian principles, disaster management cycle, project cycle, disaster risk reduction and relevant technical and accountability standards within the industry and understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and donor landscape
  • Relevant sectoral experience (e.g.: Protection/WASH)
  • Strong understanding of the international humanitarian system and organisations
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with strong oral and written communication and presentation skills experience in humanitarian sector in relevant context, including fragile states
  • Embraces working with agility, confidence and solution orientated
  • Be aligned and passion to drive the values of World Vision
  • Current Passport and Licence, with the flexibility to be deployed within 24-72 hours notice.

This role is that will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Melbourne, Victoria.
