The roles exist to design, implement, maintain and support the visual elements of the various digital applications for World Vision Australia (WVA).  You will be working in an Agile Development team as the primary Front End Developer working with UX Designers, Back End Developers, Testers and Analysts to deliver a variety of web applications.

Who we're looking for

The role will include working with the Bootstrap 3 framework, developing in a mobile first fashion. You will be working in .NET and Angular environments so experience working in these ecosystems will be beneficial. The following technical experience is required:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Front End Developer.
  • Expert in HTML5. CSS3, Javascript, jQuery
  • Experience with responsive frameworks (Bootstrap)
  • Knowledge of Mobile first ideology
  • Understanding of version control (GIT)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication
  • Experience working in an Agile workplace

Other Desirable skills include:

  • Experience working with server side environments (PHP, .NET)
  • Proficient in at least one modern JS framework (VueJS, React, Angular)
  • Expertise in a CSS pre-processor (LESS, SASS or Stylus)
  • Familiar with task runners (GULP, GRUNT)
  • Strong UI, UX skills and an eye for detail
  • Continuous Integration
  • Working in Agile environments

What you need to know

This role is a permanent position operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria.
