A day in the life of WVA’s P & C Business Partner includes:

As part of the People Partnerships Team, you will work to ensure the P&C function delivers effective fit for purpose business support to enable staff engagement, organisational performance and staff care.

The BP works alongside their Group Executive(s) to provide strategic and tactical advice focused on the Change, Capability and Culture required across the Group to deliver and exceed performance goals.

The BP thinks one-step-ahead and provides well considered and fit for purpose insights to be the trusted advisor for the Group Executive to support their Group wide and broader organisational leadership responsibilities. 

The role works closely with the rest of the Group Leadership team by influencing the agenda and being active ‘at the table’ to co-create business solutions.

BP sit within the People Partnerships Team and work together to provide leadership to the broader P&C team.  The BP ensures that, as a function, we are working in partnership with the business to equip and enable our Leaders/Managers to create an engaging and high performing work culture that delivers positive connections with our supporters.


Who are you?

  • Tertiary qualification, with in Human Resources/Organisational Development, Business, or commensurate experience
  • Generalise HR background with a minimum 5 years’ experience 
  • Knowledge of key HR areas of practice including, ER/IR, OHS, Data/Analytics, Recruitment, Remuneration & Benefits, Learning & Development, Performance Management
  • Delivered organisational wide projects and change management
  • Demonstrated coaching of senior leaders in both the ‘how’ and the ‘what’ to achieve organisational goals
  • Influencing organisation capability through people systems, structures and processes
  • Passion for individual and management capability development that supports strategic capabilities of the organisation
  • Respects diversity of opinion and can influence strategic decisions that support policy


This role is a permanent contract operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria.
