The Opportunity to Make a Difference:

The Business Analyst (Field Impact) role exists to provide the Director, Performance and Planning with analytical and problem-solving support to input into the optimisation of strategy and plans and manage business unit performance.

This requires a focus on stakeholder management, financial analysis and special projects.

This role seeks to understand the link between financial and non-financial metrics and works closely with other analysts to ensure a holistic view is being formed. 

This role is expected to lead financial process improvement projects and is therefore required to bring a high degree of commercial acumen, problem solving, self-motivation and stakeholder management skills.   

 

A day in the life of WVA’s Finance Business Analyst includes:

The role is accountable day to day to support the Director Performance and Planning to effectively monitor group level performance and enable strategy achievement.

Day-to-day this includes:

  • development of performance reporting including drawing insights from data,
  • financial and non-financial analysis to drive discussion and decision making with senior leadership,
  • partnering with managers to support budget management and identifying continuous improvement opportunities,
  • input into strategy and planning processes and development of tools and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Who are you?

A Business Analyst that demonstrates high commercial acumen, a service focus and an approach to processes and practices with a continuous improvement mindset; you will also possess the following skills, experience & qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or other relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment for charities.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in budget management, strategic planning, financial and non-financial analysis
  • Stakeholder engagement and negotiation at senior levels
  • Interpreting and presenting information and facilitating decision making processes with senior /executive leaders
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
