The Australia Program leverages 40 years of experience working here in Australia and our international programming expertise to support Indigenous Australians to lead their own development. We do this at the national level by engaging with government, and at a local level, by partnering with communities on a range of community development projects focussed around Education and Life Skills.


A day in the life of WVA's Administrative Coordinator includes:

The Administrative Coordinator role exists to provide administrative and operational support to the Australia Program Lead Team and urban based project teams (e.g. Young Mob Program), and to provide oversight and coordination of AP administrative compliance requirements.

This requires coordination and negotiation with finance and various other departments of WVA, including Heads of Departments, Managers and other administrators and staff to ensure the smooth running of the processes and systems for the Australia Program.

Provide a high level of administrative management and operational assistance to the Young Mob Project teams in the areas of:

  • travel logistical arrangements,
  • tracking and payment of field operational services and bills (e.g. accommodation, vehicle fleet management),
  • human resource management forms,
  • record & data management support and
  • troubleshooting staff questions on operational compliance requirements for WVA.


Who are you?

  • Year 12 and/or vocational training relevant to a professional administrative role
  • Experience in Administration / office management and coordination
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Scheduling, organising and a high attention to detail
  • Time management and the ability to respond quickly
  • Relational ability
  • Flexible and proactive mindset

This role is a permanent contract operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria.
