Office Manager/Personal Assistant

The Policy Research and Government Relations team plays a critical role within World Vision Australia in contributing to policy, practice and attitudinal change in Australia and in the field, in order to champion the child poverty agenda.  

The role of Office Manager/PA is to manage the operations of the Canberra office and undertake the role of Personal Assistant to Head of Policy Research and Government Relations (PR&GR). You will be the main contact and communicator for all office administration within the team and to external stakeholders. Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the smooth functioning of the Canberra office by managing and coordinating all office administration, and implementing more efficient processes and procedures.
  • Supporting the Head of PR&GR including:
    • diary, email and calendar
    • coordinating and booking travel arrangements
    • organising meetings and preparing agenda papers
    • organising correspondence and following up
    • responding to urgent requests
  • Coordinate support to the Canberra office team including  compiling monthly reporting, , administration and assisting with organising events.

You will need to be self motivated with strong initiative whilst also having the ability to work within a team. It is also essential for you to have:

  • Highly developed PA and Office Management experience including the ability to develop and implement business processes
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise work, handle multiple tasks under pressure and be adaptable to change. 
  • Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge including MS Office, email, internet and databases
