The Opportunity to be a Changemaker…

The Trusts and Foundations Advisor is responsible for:

  • qualifying leads, cultivating and managing relationships with grant making entities in Australia and internationally;  
  • researching, developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals and supporting grant acquittals;
  • supporting the Manager Trusts and Foundations to develop and implement strategic, long term high value partnerships with Australian and international trusts and foundations, trustee companies and Private Ancillary Funds to secure funding for World Vision’s international and Australian programs.

This role will:

  • enable you to work in a fast paced environment, working with a range of internal teams including WVA’s Australia and International Programs teams;
  • require a component of networking with external stakeholders and potential funders;
  • provide the opportunity to use your excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively communicate the impact of WVA’s programming;
  • support the implementation of WVA’s strategic approach to securing funds from structured giving entities across Australia and internationally.


Who we are looking for…

  • Tertiary qualifications in business (with international studies an advantage); 
  • Strong experience in managing or securing funds from structured giving entities;
  • Proven fundraising and/or business development experience and the ability to achieve income targets;
  • Demonstrated networks and key relationships within the trusts and foundation sector;
  • Project management skills and ability to work to timeframes;
  • Knowledge of partnership brokering methodology;
  • Knowledge of international development sector;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.



What you need to know

This is a permanent role operating in a full-time capacity will be based either at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria, or in our Sydney CBD office.  If based in Victoria, the role will require at least monthly travel to Sydney.
