- Build and nurture long term mutual relationships with Australian churches to support the work of World Vision

The Church Relationship Manager is focused on working and partnering with Australian churches to invite their congregations to support, pray for, and sponsor our area programs through Child Sponsorship, Disaster and Christmas Relief, and other ad hoc campaigns and activities.
This role is a fast-paced, relational role that requires you to successfully identify, manage and lead key stakeholders and influencers. The main outcome of the role is to enable churches to financially support the work of World Vision. You will be required to meet financial and non-financial targets.
Based in NSW
Your areas of responsibility:
- Acquire and build, a mature portfolio of Church Partnerships who support WVA offerings, including Child Sponsorship, Disaster and Christmas Relief and other ad hoc campaigns and activities
- Actively engage Churches and prospects to offer opportunities to achieve impact through Church Partnerships
- Developing pipeline and fundraising strategies for Chosen, 40HR famine, Emergencies, and other WV programs
- Deliver presentations to congregations on the work of World Vision, and invite people to participate in our child sponsorship and other fundraising programs
- Grow WVA’s presence and reputation across your state
- Achieve financial and non-financial targets on time and budget in accordance with established KPI’s
Who we’re looking for
As the successful applicant, you will have strong people relationship and influencing skills, patience, and perseverance to bring partners and stakeholders on-board and motivate them to be active participants.
You will have:
- Experience working in the not for profit or church sector
- Experience in implementing a strategic vision and developing pipeline for fundraising key programs
- At least five years of experience in fundraising, with demonstrated success in engaging with Church partners for fundraising in not-for-profit organization
- Strong understanding of church movements in Australia and around the world
- Ideally qualifications from formal Bible college study
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional networking and entrepreneurial ability
- Business development and relationship management experience
- Demonstrated ability in key stakeholder engagement
