The position

Perform operational processes, information management and donor compliance tasks in relation to WVA’s field portfolio including, area programs, private non-sponsorship projects, emergency response appeals, grants and World Food Programme.

This is a Maximum Term Contract role for 12 Months

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Support the project and program startup, implementation and closeout processes, ensuring efficient transitions between different phases of the program lifecycle
  • Manage specific Field Impact processes, including ensuring funds are timely committed to field offices and enabling grant income to be booked
  • Provide compliance management support during project and program implementation, including World Food Programme (WFP) document processing as appropriate
  • Ensure both WVA and donor compliance requirements are documented, up-to-date, well-communicated and adhered to
  • Develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across the organisation, including the WFP SO Hub to leverage synergies and approaches for maximum operational efficiencies
  • Drive process and system improvements that support relevant Field Impact departments to deliver excellence in portfolio and program/project management
  • Provide system administrative support for users of Grant Vantage within Field Impact as appropriate

Who we’re looking for 

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail. You will be a great communicator and have the ability to effectively build collaborative and productive relationships.

You will have:

  • Exposure to working with budgets and sound understanding of financial concepts
  • Demonstrated application of technical skills in a relevant context (program/project management, NFP/NGO, public service etc.)
  • An understanding of the unique needs and requirements of government and multilateral donors within an international development context
  • Proven experience on project cycle management methodologies and theory
  • Experience with managing information effectively
  • Exposure to working in an international environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: these may include Business/Commerce, International Relations/International Development, Accounting, Legal, or a relevant technical field
