The Position

Little Things Cafe is looking for a Cafe Allrounder to be the daily face of our cafe and deliver friendly welcoming and efficient service. A big focus will be on our own specialty coffee brand & delivering it consistently to our customers at a high standard.

 Some of the Key Accountabilities include:

  • Attentive to customers and ensure they feel heard and appreciated
  • Good product and menu knowledge – especially our own coffee brand
  • Being consistent on delivering high standard coffee & cafe drinks, taking direction from the manager
  • Follow procedures for all tasks as set out by café manager
  • Clean as you go, ensuring bench tops and work areas are kept tidy
  • Assist in sandwich and basic food preparation.
  • Handle customer requests or complaints in a kind and helpful manner

Who we are looking for…

  • Experience in working in the hospitality industry (Café or Deli experience would be great)
  • Basic barista skill & interest to learn further
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Cafe point of sale and inventory systems
  • Basic food safety experience
  • Front of house duties
  • Flexibility, the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

What you need to know…

This role is a casual position and will be based at Little Things Cafe in Blackburn, Victoria. We trade Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3pm, and on Saturday from 8am to 2pm.
