About the Role

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll provide expert accounting and taxation advice across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and accounting standards. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting month-end processes, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lodge statutory taxation and compliance returns in line with legislative requirements.
  • Apply accounting standards across technical areas including revenue, leases, and asset management.
  • Ensure accurate classification and recording of transactions in the general ledger.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and provisions.
  • Provide financial guidance to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting and strong technical expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Chartered Accountant designation (completed or in progress).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and taxation requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear, practical advice to stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and supportive team player who takes initiative and values recognition for contributions.
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
