Are you a creative communicator with a passion for purpose-driven storytelling? Join World Vision Australia as a Communications Specialist and help bring our mission to life—engaging everyday Australians in not-so-everyday issues.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Brand Communications, you’ll be part of a close-knit team within our wider Communications and Corporate Affairs unit. This dynamic role spans both internal and external communications, with a focus on:

  • Internal Communications:
    • Crafting and executing plans that foster transparency, engagement, and collaboration across departments.
    • Coordinating internal comms calendars and supporting key events like our annual Prayer Day.
  • External Communications:
    • Supporting the development of key messaging and materials to support campaigns and major humanitarian events.
    • Assisting in identifying and managing strategic partnerships with high-profile talent.
    • Leading the comms curation, distribution and reporting of a monthly ambassador edm.
    • Support with tracking and evaluating departmental comms success for senior leadership reporting.
  • CEO Communications:
    • Supporting the Office of the CEO with high-impact, fit-for-purpose communications that elevate our brand and influence.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a natural storyteller who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders. You bring:

  • Proven 5+ years’ experience in a comms, public relations or employee engagement role.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute internal communications strategies that drive engagement and alignment.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a range of formats and audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of media platforms like Meltwater and Telum.
  • Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, email marketing tools, CMS, social media).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation.
