We’re seeking a Senior Category Marketing Specialist to strengthen, evolve, and champion the Child Sponsorship product. You’ll work at the intersection of marketing, human centred design, and supporter experience, creating meaningful supporter journeys that inspire generosity and long‑term connection.

What You’ll Do

Drive Product & Category Strategy

  • Support the Category Marketing Manager in delivering end‑to‑end product and marketing strategy.
  • Leverage market intelligence, performance insights and emerging trends to shape strategic product decisions, inform prioritisation and anticipate future supporter and market needs.
  • Champion a future‑focused product marketing approach, ensuring pricing and positioning decisions strengthen commercial performance and protect the long‑term health of the Child Sponsorship category.

Drive Innovation and Product Advancement

  • Identify, shape and deliver new innovation opportunities for the Child Sponsorship product, ensuring it remains relevant, differentiated and competitive in market.
  • Lead exploration, testing and validation of new product concepts, supporter value propositions and enhancements that strengthen the overall Child Sponsorship offering.
  • Translate insights, market intelligence and supporter needs into product improvements that create measurable commercial and experience outcomes.

Lead Pricing and Market Strategy

  • Develop and optimise pricing strategies that maximise revenue, supporter value and long term sustainability of the Child Sponsorship category.
  • Analyse market dynamics, competitive positioning and supporter insights to inform pricing decisions and product packaging.
  • Partner with finance, insights and fundraising teams to model pricing scenarios and assess commercial impact.

Strengthen Market Performance

  • Ensure the Child Sponsorship product remains compelling, scalable and aligned to organisational growth and retention objectives.
  • Collaborate with channel, digital and acquisition teams to enable strong market delivery and category performance.
  • Monitor trends and emerging market shifts to inform product direction and strategic decision making.

Influence and Collaborate Across the Organisation

  • Lead strategic alignment across senior stakeholders including Marketing, Fundraising, Digital, Finance, Operations and Field Impact teams to ensure the Child Sponsorship product strategy is understood, prioritised and embedded across the organisation.
  • Act as the senior product marketing voice, shaping how the Child Sponsorship product is positioned internally and externally, ensuring clarity of value proposition, commercial priorities and supporter outcomes.
  • Influence executive and cross functional decision making by providing insights, market direction, product performance intelligence and recommendations that drive overall category growth and retention.
  • Lead complex, cross organisational product initiatives, driving collaboration, resolving competing priorities and ensuring rigorous governance and delivery discipline.
  • Champion a product led culture, ensuring channel, digital and campaign teams have the right guidance, product narratives, value propositions and strategic direction to execute effectively in market.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in product management, category management, or marketing, ideally in the social impact or NFP sector.
  • Fundraising experience is essential, with a strong understanding of what drives supporter motivation and long‑term giving.
  • Proven ability to manage products across their full lifecycle.
  • Strong storytelling and content design skills.
  • Experience improving operational processes and fulfilment workflows.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset and confidence interpreting data.
  • Understanding of international development or child sponsorship (desirable).
  • A growth mindset, resilience, and a passion for meaningful results.
