World Vision Australia is seeking a highly organised and purpose‑driven Child & Adult Safeguarding Coordinator to help ensure we remain a Child Safe organisation and continue protecting the children and adults we serve. This is a meaningful role supporting the day‑to‑day operations of our Safeguarding team across policy, incident management, training, and compliance.

About the role
In this role, you will coordinate and support key safeguarding activities across the organisation, ensuring WVA meets its legislative, regulatory, and donor requirements. You will work closely with the Child & Adult Safeguarding Manager and stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of safeguarding policy, practice and guidance across the organisation.
- Coordinate safeguarding incident reporting and support case management processes, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate safeguarding training, communications, and awareness-raising activities, including maintaining safeguarding resources.
- Support compliance activities, reporting and workplanning to meet legislative, regulatory and donor requirements.
- Provide coordination support to safeguarding governance forums (e.g., scheduling, agendas and minutes).
What you’ll bring
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Social Sciences, International Development, Law) or equivalent experience.
- Strong coordination skills, including tracking actions and delivering to timeframes.
- Experience developing and delivering training and/or staff communications.
- Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders across a large organisation.
- High integrity and discretion, with proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Foundational knowledge and interest in safeguarding/child protection, reporting requirements and/or case management (desirable).
