About the role
World Vision Australia is seeking energetic and passionate Youth Ambassadors to support the 2025 40 Hour Challenge. In this short‑term role, you’ll visit primary and secondary schools to deliver engaging presentations, run interactive workshops, and motivate students to lead change in their communities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with young people, enjoys public speaking, and wants to contribute to a meaningful cause.
What you’ll do
- Deliver fun, age‑appropriate school assembly presentations that inspire students to join the 40 Hour Challenge.
- Communicate global issues and World Vision’s mission in an engaging, accessible way.
- Facilitate interactive challenge‑planning workshops with student leaders, providing practical tools and ideas to help them promote the 40 Hour Challenge within their school.
- Support peer‑led mobilisation by equipping students to engage their networks and encourage wider participation.
- Coordinate school visits, including scheduling, preparation, travel and follow‑up.
- Complete basic reporting and follow World Vision Australia policies and procedures.
- Support general program tasks as needed during peak campaign periods.
What you’ll bring
- Experience presenting to or facilitating groups of young people (schools, youth programs, camps or community events).
- Strong communication and youth engagement skills.
- Interest in global development, social justice or poverty alleviation.
- Ability to travel extensively across the state during school hours.
- Flexibility to work on a casual, ad‑hoc basis (hours vary week to week).
- Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Driver’s licence desirable.
