The Category Marketing Manager – Child Sponsorship is a senior leadership role overseeing World Vision Australia's largest and most impactful supporter product. It is focused on managing the full lifecycle of the child sponsorship experience—from design to fulfilment—ensuring it remains compelling, efficient, and aligned with field realities and supporter expectations.
Reporting to the Head of Category Marketing, this role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and channels, driving both supporter retention and acquisition. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning the product strategy with field operations and supporter expectations to deliver a meaningful and impactful sponsorship experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy and end-to-end management of World Vision Australia’s Child Sponsorship product.
- Drive sustainable growth, donor retention, and supporter experience across all touchpoints.
- Oversee product design, pricing, content, and supporter journey development.
- Manage donor communications and global fulfilment to ensure timely, impactful engagement.
- Collaborate with insights, marketing, channel, and field teams to align product with supporter and field needs.
- Ensure strong inventory management of sponsored children for campaigns and fulfilment.
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Support global alignment and continuous improvement with World Vision International and field partners.
Who we’re looking for
As the successful applicant, you will have Full product lifecycle expertise, from strategy and design to launch, optimisation, and sunset.
In addition to this
- 5+ years’ experience in product management, category management, or marketing, ideally within the non-profit or social impact sector.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams to deliver high-impact results.
- Strong content and communication skills, including storytelling for supporter engagement and retention.
- Fulfilment operations experience, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of donor communications and commitments.
- Process improvement capabilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and scalability.
- Excellent stakeholder management, collaborating across marketing, channels, field teams, and global partners.
- Strong analytical ability, using data and insights to drive product and marketing decisions.
- Understanding of international development and child sponsorship programs is highly desirable.
