The Position

Responsible for generating and communicating portfolio level evidence on how children are impacted through World Vision’s integrated programs to support program quality, learning and donor engagement. This role will initially focus on building, maintaining and scaling the WVA ANCP Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework in a way that not only links validated programming outcomes with DFAT ANCP program logic and priority areas, but supports excellence in WVA’s monitoring and evaluation practices more broadly.

You will lead an annual cycle of evaluation and analysis, helping internal and external stakeholders to understand the scope and impact of the complex multi-sector ANCP grant. This includes direct advice on program quality principles, engagement with other ANCP non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and DFAT on the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework (MELF) guidance, and ensuring that minimum standards for M&E under the ANCP Contract are met.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

  • Design and oversee ANCP-specific data collection tools across 25 to 30 projects for 2026
  • Lead annual output/outcome reporting to DFAT (data and narrative) for the 2026 annual ADPlan and Performance Report cycle, including project, program and executive summary (header) content
  • Lead ANCP impact reporting for the 2026 annual cycle of analysis, reflection and publications (impact briefs)
  • Support the development of succinct impact / evidence / learning briefs and publications which can support technical leadership and donor influence, including repurposing these evidence products to share with all supporter/donor segments in consultation with Brand and Communications. The role will initially focus on devising and delivering thematic reporting around WVA contributions to DFAT international aid strategies and/or World Vision’s strategy goals and business priorities.
  • As directed, lead meta-reviews of evidence of impact for World Vision Australia’s priority projects and programs, including key program approaches / models, and develop evidence products for various internal and external audiences in an efficient and succinct way
  • As required, support the Acquisition sector teams with measurement frameworks, approaches, evidence, learnings & insights for pre-positioning, development of concept notes, bids or proposals
  • Ensure consistency of approach in designs, baselines, monitoring and evaluation in relation to priority projects and technical programmes at a meta (portfolio) and program level to enable reporting impact at scale in accordance with the Evidence Building Framework
  • Under the guidance of Evidence and GEDSI Manager provide comprehensive and integrated technical support to the design and implementation of specific programs and projects by delivering foundational technical assessments (when required), training or supporting development of tools and resources to World Vision field offices and implementation partners.

Who we are looking for…

We are looking for someone with high level communication and attention to detail skills. You will be flexible, able to adapt and respond to change and keep track of many moving parts. Collaboration with internal teams, donors and external partners will be key to success in this role.

You will have:

  • Experience working in a field context responding to humanitarian challenges, and/or community-led development programs/projects
  • Strong understanding of Australian market needs and demand for greater evidence of impact in programs
  • Sound experience in commissioning and conducting meta-analyses or other statistical analyses or systematic reviews
  • Experience working across several sectors, specifically economic development, climate and environment, fragility, health and nutrition
  • High level understanding of M&E frameworks / tools suitable across development and humanitarian / fragile contexts
  • Ability to generate evidence of impact tailored for the needs of institutional, private funding and mass market donors
  • Minimum 5 years’ monitoring and evaluation (M&E) experience using quantitative and qualitative evaluation and research methodologies
  • Degree in a relevant discipline e.g. international development, international relations, business, management, economic development, climate and environment, fragility, health and nutrition, evaluation and research
