About the Role
The Evidence & Learning Manager leads WVA’s evidence and learning agenda, ensuring we generate credible evidence of impact and translate it into actionable insight. You’ll steward methodological integrity, embed learning across the organisation, and guide high‑quality decision‑making — without owning program delivery or data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation’s evidence and learning strategy.
- Set standards for evidence generation, synthesis, and use.
- Prioritise learning questions that inform program quality and strategic choices.
- Oversee impact reporting and evidence translation for internal and external audiences.
- Partner with Technical Program Quality, Acquisitions, Data & Analytics, and field teams.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing Evidence & Learning team.
- Model ethical, service‑oriented leadership and ensure compliance with people practices.
What You Bring
- Qualifications in international development, evaluation, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of evidence, impact, donor expectations, and M&E approaches.
- Experience leading teams in a similar field would be an advantage
- Ability to commission, interpret, and apply research and evaluation.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across sectors.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex evidence clearly.
- Skilled in developing proposals, grants, tenders, and high‑level reporting.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and organisational agility.
