The Position

Are you passionate about empowering young people to become tomorrow’s change makers? Join World Vision as a Relationship Specialist – Schools & Youth and play a key role in inspiring the next generation to stand up for the world’s most vulnerable. In this dynamic and purpose-driven role, you'll lead the charge in building and nurturing relationships with schools, educational institutions, and youth-focused community groups to engage in fundraising, education, and advocacy campaigns.

This role will be a fast-paced, relational role that requires you to successfully identify, manage and lead key stakeholders, and influencers.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining WVA’s 40HR Famine school strategy for FY26 and beyond
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining WVA’s CSPON and 1000 Girls campaign.
  • Monitoring financial fundraising targets for schools and campaign as a whole and providing real time insights
  • Deliver compelling presentations and workshops that educate and inspire action among young people.
  • Forming partnerships with schools, students, teachers, and principals that excite and empower them to be Change Makers for WVA
  • Creating opportunities for students to gain awareness and build skills that enable them to make a difference in their local community and future life
  • Responsible for KPI’s attached to 40HR Famine fundraising campaign and individual schools and partnerships
  • Develop, growing, and manage a portfolio of schools and organisations to promote WVA’s work and build meaningful long-term relationships

Who we’re looking for 

As the successful applicant, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and experience in business development and relationship management.

In addition to this:

  • A natural relationship builder with experience in education, community engagement, or youth leadership.
  • Experience in implementing and developing strategic vision to build on portfolio
  • A confident communicator who can inspire and energise young audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage partnerships, coordinate events, and achieve engagement targets.
  • Experience in developing pipelines and fundraising strategies
  • Willingness to travel and engage with school communities.
  • Experience working in the not for profit or education sector
  • Knowledge of the Education system advantageous
