The primary purpose of the role is to develop and facilitate a more intentional and co-ordinated approach to WVA’s supporter engagement, while ensuring Australian Churches and Faith Communities play their part in helping vulnerable children.

This is an outstanding role. You will build and nurture long term mutual partnerships with Church communities to support the work of World Vision with sponsoring children and alleviating poverty. You will take ownership of our church engagement strategy and build a team structure to facilitate long term engagement with churches throughout Australia.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a strategic overview both internally and externally and provide insight to WVA leadership and business teams on the interests and priorities of churches.
  • Acquire and build a mature portfolio of church partnerships across Australia.
  • Ensure you and your team meet reoccurring revenue and one-off revenue targets.
  • Cultivate relationships with churches that support World Vision offerings, including Child Sponsorship, Disaster Relief, Christmas Relief, and other ad hoc campaigns and activities.
  • Develop strategic relationships, networks, and partnerships, especially with and within the churches that support WVA’s objectives and build spiritual health and understanding in Christian faith communities.
  • Facilitate key account review and planning.
  • Mentor, coach, and lead team members.

With extensive experience in the NFP or Church sector, the ideal candidate has a deep understanding of poverty and its causes, and is well connected within the Australian church.  Skills and experience include:

  • Strong understanding of church movements in Australia and around the world
  • Knowledge of the Educational Sector
  • Ideally qualifications from formal Bible college study
  • Valid Australian Drivers licence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in MS Product suite- Word, XL, Power Point and Power BI
  • Exposure to Salesforce CRM is highly desirable
